MVE Restoring Alberta's History in Cremona

October 14, 2017

Mountain View Events began restoration of a homestead located just outside of Cremona, Alberta in May 2017.  The original 1915 Heritage House has been lovingly restored in keeping with its proud history as an Eaton House model. Incredibly, the interior woodwork and some stained glass windows original to the home have been preserved. Featuring a main level entertaining area with covered porch, and a special bridal suite above, the Heritage House is sure to be the perfect backdrop for your special event.

The original homestead of this historical Alberta farm shared its birthdate with the The United Farm Women of Alberta (UFWA). Their focus was to include the legal status of women and children, cooperative marketing, farm safety and environmental concerns. Issues such as property rights for farm women, reproductive rights, farm economics and marketing, stress in farm families, child care in rural areas, access to affordable medical care, rural depopulation and loss of schools and services.

Major architectural construction and restoration of the original barn is underway. Combining the beauty of the original barn with state of the art modern construction for the addition, the barn will be the most unique event centre in the area. The barn event centre will be capable of hosting up to 600 guests.
